Murata Electronics offers a variety of coils, including choke coils with low DC resistance intended for power supply circuits, general-purpose chip coils suitable for voltage increases, and high-frequency chip coils that provide low-loss and high-Q characteristics at high frequencies.
Users can select the optimum characteristics by choosing from monolithic, film or wire wound construction and a wide range of inductance values and tolerances. Some types also allow for magnetic shielding.
When it comes to choosing RF inductors, Murata’s LQW inductor series is a great fit. Murata’s ceramic wire-wound technology allows for tight tolerance, and high Q values in the high frequency range.
Due to these characteristics, the LQW series also minimizes stray capacitance, hence increasing the self-resonant frequency and therefore it is suitable for high frequency circuits, especially telecom equipment.
Perfect for high frequency applications the LQW18ANR10J00D is an 0603 air chip coil with a miniature alumina core. The LQW18ANR10J00D has an inductance of 100nH ±5% at 220 mA.
