MCP23X08EV 8-bit GPIO Expander Evaluation Board demonstrates simple input/output functionality of the MCP23008 (I2C interface) and the MCP23S08 (SPI interface). The system demonstrates the simplicity of monitoring four inputs and applying the level to associated outputs.
Features:
- Demonstrates the MCP23X08 devices in a simple I/O application
- Includes two I/O expanders that are switch selectable: the MCP23008 with I2C interface and the MCP23S08 with SPI interface
- ICSP header for the PIC10F202 allows users to customize firmware to further evaluate the MCP23X08
- Jumpers and headers allow the MCP23X08 to connect directly to custom applications for prototype work
- Can be powered from a 3.0 V to 5.5 V DC power source
