Although the change was released in 2021 and implemented accordingly, the related drawings were not updated at that time. This update aims to align the visual representation of TE-labeled housings with the changes previously communicated, ensuring consistency across documentation for the part numbers listed below. These PNs are TE proprietary designs, therefore considered catalog/general market product.Reason for Change:Dear Customer, fit, form or function of these part numbers are not affected. You will not see any change to the parts delivered to you. IMPORTANT: This is only a drawing update.
Description of ChangesAs part of our ongoing efforts to reduce carbon footprint, the Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit of TE Connectivity is standardizing the weld cap color of the Deutsch DT connectors to black (affected part numbers listed below). The standardized black weld caps will seamlessly integrate with the developing design features when new DT colors are added to our connector portfolio. This ensures a cohesive product with consistent aesthetics across the product line as this is a notification for implementation of the changes notified through PCN-24-226269. These PNs are TE proprietary designs and, therefore, considered catalog/general market products. Level 4 PPAP requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will only occur with a request. Because all of the components are currently used in production, no samples are planned to be supplied because the change is entirely cosmetic, as a result, level 4 PPAP (PSW only) will be provided when requested, and disposition response is required within 14 days of the submit date or it will be considered approved. Product drawing(s) are affected.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, we hereby inform you of this change. This change is applicable to all North American manufacturing locations. The affected part numbers are listed below. These PNs are TE proprietary designs, therefore considered catalog/general market product. PPAP and/or sample requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will not occur without request. If PPAP requested, disposition response is required within 14 days of submit date or it will be considered approved. Product drawings are not affected.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, we hereby inform you of this change. This process allows flexibility and mitigates exposure to material shortages. The natural resin is the same as the pre-colored base resin and V-0 rating. There is no appearance change to parts manufactured with color at the press. IMPORTANT: The current and previous revisions of these parts can be used interchangeably in the field. The change is being phased gradually and previous revision can remain stocked until use.
