120MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4, ASSP of RA6 for Motor Control
The Renesas RA6T1 Group of microcontrollers is the first MCU in the larger 32-bit RA family specifically designed for motor control applications, using the high-performance 120 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 CPU core.
As part of the wide scalable RA6 Series, the RA6T1 MCU is optimized for enhanced motor control with various peripherals and memory. It is an ASSP product specialized for such applications including an embedded PWM timer, high-speed 12-bit ADC, PGA, comparator and PWM cut-off function.
The RA6T1 can control two BLDC motors simultaneously with a single chip, which, to put into simpler teams, Bills of Material can be cut in half because the incorporating analog parts such as Comparator and Amplifier functions help reduce the number of external analog parts needed.
Flexible Software Package (FSP)
Useful in low-power end products, the RA6T1 microcontroller is supported by the Flexible Software Package (FSP), which provides a quick and versatile way to build secure connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices using the Renesas RA Family of Arm microcontrollers (MCUs). FSP provides production ready peripheral drivers, FreeRTOS and middleware stacks to take advantage of the FSP ecosystem.
Including a motor control specific control code algorithm, the RA6T1 MCU is a perfect, easy-to-use choice for quick time to market and to simplify the design process for engineers.
