Replacement of EPCOS Brand on TDK Electronics ProductsDescription:About 17 years after the merger of TDK and EPCOS, we have decided to discontinue the use of the EPCOS brand for passive components and sensors and to change the marking of products that still use the EPCOS brand. These changes apply to all EPCOS marked products except those that are to be phased out.The implementation of all changes will start in April 2026. During a transition period, products can be delivered with the current EPCOS marking or the new TDK marking. Goods in stock will continue to be delivered with the unchanged EPCOS marking.
Change of electrode design for A8, N8 and P8 series of surge arresters:The electrode design of the EPCOS surge arrester series A8, N8 and P8 produced in our plant in Xiaogan/China will be slightly changed. The dimensions of the components remain unchanged, except for minor modifications to the calotte of the electrode. The aim of the change is to unify the electrode designs of surge arresters produced in our plants in Johor Bahru/Malaysia and Xiaogan/China. The electrical and mechanical characteristics, type designations, ordering codes and delivery times of the affected products remain unchanged.
