Small, Robust Power Relays Gain New Class F Coil Insulation

The Panasonic LQ Series of non-polarized power relays extends its already widely-available power relay lineup, offering Class F coil insulation. The new LQ Series relays provide an ideal combination of switching performance and a high safety rating for use in home appliances or industrial equipment. Despite their small size - the Panasonic LQ Series encapsulated package has a footprint of 20mm x 10mm and is 16mm high. These general power relays provide high switching capacity of up to 10A. Their contact rating at 105°C is recognized for Class F coils under the terms of UL/C-UL certification.

The Panasonic LQ Series relays are available in six nominal coil voltages from 5V to 24V, and in 1 Form A or 1 Form C contact arrangements.

The LQ Series power relays with the new Class F coil may be used in ambient temperatures up to 105°C. LQ Series relays are also available with Class B coil insulation which may be used in ambient temperatures up to 85°C.

These power relays are notable for their ability to withstand high surge voltages of up to 8kV. Dielectric strength of 4kV between contact and coil makes them well suited to high-voltage applications.
